Your bead pattern

Checking the digital QR…
Enter a link or message to see the grid, materials and pegboard layout.
QR PNG has no grid. Chart PNG and PDF include placement guides and the selected bead codes.

Place beads in every cell, including the light border. The border is four QR squares wide on all sides.

A digital check does not guarantee the finished beads will scan. Test with your phone before and after ironing.

Choose codes from your bead bags. Screen colors are approximate; use solid, opaque beads for this project.

Perler Bead QR Code Generator

Make a QR code with the fuse beads you already have. Choose Perler, Hama Midi, Artkal S or MARD, pick two color codes, and get a pegboard chart with the quantity of each bead.

From a link to a fuse bead QR pattern

The example above is ready to explore. Replace its link with yours, then match the palette to your supplies.

  1. 1. Set the link and colors

Paste a website link or enter a message. Select your bead brand, a dark color code and a light color code, then generate the pattern.

  2. 2. Prepare the pegboards

Check the bead counts and board layout. Download the chart and place one bead in each cell, including every light cell around and inside the code.

  3. 3. Test the actual beads

Scan the arranged beads with your phone. Follow your bead brand’s fusing instructions and test again after the piece has cooled flat.

Will your QR code fit on one pegboard?

With one bead per QR module and a 4-module border, only a version 1 code fits a 29 × 29 board. Longer content or higher correction may need a larger code.

Version 225 × 2533 × 3310894

The totals include both selected colors and the light border. Board counts use complete boards in a rectangular layout; the required QR version depends on your content and correction level.

Bead QR code not scanning?

Check the light border
Keep four clear QR squares on every side. Use the chosen light bead throughout that border; decoration should stay outside it.
Compare the three corner squares
A misplaced bead can change the code. Check the large corner markers first, then work through the remaining rows against your chart.
Try black and white first
Similar colors, transparent beads and shiny finishes can be hard for a phone to distinguish. Start with opaque black and white, in even light.
Check the finished surface
Bead holes, gaps and uneven melting affect the real object. A successful digital scan verifies the image, not the fused piece.

Planning your QR bead project

Can I use Hama, Artkal or MARD instead of Perler?
Yes. Choose Hama Midi, Artkal S or MARD in the brand menu. Each palette has its own color codes. Use beads and boards that fit each other; the tool does not measure their physical spacing.
Can a colored bead QR code scan?
A dark color on a light background can work. The tool checks the generated pixels before enabling downloads. Screen colors are only references, so test the actual beads as well.
How many pegboards will I need?
A version 1 code plus its border is 29 × 29 beads. A 25 × 25 QR grid becomes a 33 × 33 pattern with the border, so it needs more than one 29 × 29 board.
Do I need to place the light beads?
Yes. They form the background, keep the border clear and help connect separate dark areas. Their quantity is included in the material list.
Can I update the link after fusing the beads?
The pattern stores a fixed link. You can change the page at that same address if you control it. Encoding a different address requires a new bead pattern.
Are the pattern downloads free?
Yes. Generation, the digital scan check and PNG/PDF downloads need no account. Your entered link or message is processed in the browser, not sent to a QR service.
